Semana 90: I'm Alive

HELLOO!! Thanks to being so busy and a lack of desire to write weekly emails these past 2 months, y'all have missed out on some pretty entertaining stuff. Tough... wouldn't wanna be ya. Jk Here's a recap...

Guapetón

I just started my 3rd transfer in Los Lagos. I have a new companion named Elder Robertson who was in my MTC district. It's amazing to see how much we've changed in almost 2 years. He is from Canada and we get along really well. Also, he's my first companion that is not Mexican so I am pretty excited for that.

Elder Robertson

Over the past 6 weeks, we helped 6 new people come to Christ by making lifelong covenants with Him through baptism. Iaan, Andrea, Elodia, Rosa, Sarahi, and Julio Cesar are amazing converts and have an incredible desire to come closer to Christ. Over these weeks, 3 converts of mine received the priesthood and a couple is preparing to go through the temple! The gospel really changes lives!

We have had several zone conferences and MLC trainings.

My comp and I went on Mega Exchanges. We dedicated an entire week to go on exchanges in every struggling area in the 4 zones up north. The Zone leaders in each zone went with us and we were able to find several people that are now preparing to be baptized. Our goal is to make every area baptize at least 1 person a month. Those exchanges consisted of not having time to eat, sleeping on the floor every night, bus rides in the middle of the night, and no sleep. But we did visit some ancient Pyramids in Tajin to finish off the exchanges with a bang before we went back to Xalapa.

We went to a zone named Teziutlan and spent 2 days with President visiting ancient pyramids, magic cities, eating in fancy restaurants and staying in a hotel because we helped him baptize 3 people. We finished that trip with a stake conference.

Here are some quick recaps of President these weeks
  1. Several missionaries went home early last transfer for health and disobedience reasons
  2. President rear ended a Coke truck
  3. A sister missionary wore a sweater to interviews that said "I'd rather be someone's shot of whiskey than their cup of tea" .... President was crying laughing
  4. President forgot his towel after the baptism and sat in the bathroom for 20 minutes and we had no clue where he was
  5. President smacked Betsy's (his car) mirror into a telephone poll
  6. President called 3 gangsters on the street to repentance and he almost got hit
  7. President got pickpocketed by little kids
  8. President banned watching Disney movies from the mission, however he approved Coco and Elf. Elf??
  9. President shared hilarious stories of his life before the mission
Only 11 weeks left! I'm definitely not trunky... okay a little bit. Have a great week!

Atentamente,
