Semana 70: Bautizar Bautizar
Ayooo friends and family!!
I can't believe I just hit 70 weeks in the mission. That is a long time. Two days ago I completed 16 months being a missionary and representative for Christ's church. That means I am 2/3 of the way done and I feel like I've done "ni un chile" but hurrah for Israel!!
Jumping pic for the memes
Our family of 4 got baptized!!! Well, only three of them because the dad flaked out several hours before the baptism. Not gonna lie, I was pretty afflicted. Why is it always the dudes who flake out? Gosh. My companion called him and tried to convince him and the man just wouldn't budge. Then I called him and attempted to do the same. I testified, read parables, logically and spiritually proved the importance of being baptized in our church. He started to come around and the Spirit was convincing him... and then his phone died. All of the spiritual momentum was lost instantly and I was so frustrated. Anyways, Maria de Jesus and her two kids (Dulce and Sebastián) got baptized and it was an incredible experience.

La familia!!
Pday we went ice-skating. We were told by our mission President that we can no longer have multi zone activities. While we were standing in line waiting to get on the ice, we saw the entire Poza Rica zone walking towards us. The Zone Leaders in Poza looked at me and said "oh shoot. President gave us permission to cross into your zone boundaries to go ice-skating as long as you weren't there. But we forgot to tell you". Well, the two zones went ice-skating together and hopefully President doesn't find out. Also the Mexicans don't know how to ice skate so it was pretty funny to watch.
Vamos a patinar!!
I got sick... again.
That is just about it for this week!
Have a Merry Christmas, I love you all!
