Semana 40: Weird Interactions

Yeah so basically I've lost just about any sort of desire to write these weekly emails because I'd rather be doing other things and who knows how many people actually read them lol. My only motivation is because I know my mom will most likely make some sort of scrapbook after my mission and compile all of my weekly emails together. I know my mom too well... and obviously I want to remember my mission so I will keep writing.

First off, because I was scared to tell you mom during our phone call imma say it here. I lost my retainer... oops

We had two different exchanges this week, one with my zone leader, Elder Quintana, and the other with the companion of my DL, Elder Molina. First transfer with Quintana was so sick because he served in Petro for 3 transfers so he already knew everybody. We grinded and also ate a ton....let's go. Elder Quintana speaks English fluently and has a visa so when we go home together (we are the same generation) he's gonna pop by AZ and it is gonna be baller. We are gonna convince President to allow us to be companions our last transfer in Petromex yardy know.

The day before our second exchange this week, I woke up on the wrong side of the bed and I was not having it. We went to the city center to exchange for the day and my DL was contacting a homeless drunk dude and his one-legged brother with anger management issues. We arrived and the 4 of us were talking to these two crazy men. The one-legged guy told me that my presence was making him angry even though I never said nor did I do anything to him. I apologized. Then I leaned over to tie my shoes and this freaking man snagged my sombrero from off my head for no reason. I asked him to give it back and he said no. He stuck the sombrero out with his arms thinking I wouldn't be able to reach it, but because I have the wingspan of an NBA basketball player, I snagged it back right out of his hands. Angrily he threw his empty coke bottle at my head and I was like "what the heck" and then he slapped my shin with his crutches. You have no idea how mad I was after but looking back it was a pretty funny experience. 😂😂

We had 5 investigators actually come to Church with us and of course, they loved it.

We helped reactivate this one guy who has been coming to church every Sunday. Everyone thinks he is an investigator so he gets a ton of attention and he loves it. The man is like 35 years old but has the mind and maturity of a 12 year old. I always sit next to him and it feels like I'm his nursery teacher hahaha.

If y'all haven't listened to the talk Feed My Sheep given by Elder Holland in the MTC, you should because it is so good and has been the center of my studies this week!! Have a great week!
