Semana 64: ¡¡Elder Montoya y Elder Holland!!

Mamahuevos!

La Vista

Sorry for not sending an email out last week but don't stress because WE BACK BABY WE BACK!!

These past two weeks have been filled with so many miracles, spiritual experiences, and hard work. We had the chance to host Elder Montoya, the Area México first counselor, on a mission wide tour. He came up north where I am to have a MLC conference with all the mission leaders to counsel about what we could do to help strengthen the mission. He gave us some really inspiring ideas. Following that meeting, we had zone conference with 4 zones combined and he talked to us about discipleship and how we can move forward with the plan our mission President has given us.

After the Zone conference, my companion and I had the chance to sit down with Elder Montoya for about 45 minutes to talk about the mission and go over a lesson he had us film. He gave us a lot of really kind compliments and with that, some things can work better on to make our lessons more edifying for the investigators. I then had the chance to talk with him in private for a few minutes which was really cool.

Mi Compa

We went through the entire physical area book and I found a person and this is what the missionaries said about him...

"He said he murdered someone, but he told us not to worry because it was an accident"

We are in charge of two really big areas, one of which has literally nobody to teach. We go to that small town twice a week and it seems like we are just wasting time. My companion and I said screw it, we are going to street contact all day. Literally from 10:30am to 6:30pm we were on the streets dedicated to only contacting. We actually found some pretty decent people to be completely honest. We also might open up a house here so we can work the two areas more effectively.

Cesar!!!

We had a mission wide devotional with Elder Holland!! What he shared with us was very similar to his famous MTC talk "Feed my Sheep" but nonetheless twas a very inspiring thing to see an apostle talking directly to my mission and I. I took a ridiculous amount of notes and it was a great motivation to start making some small changes to be a better missionary and person.

We put our family of 6 we are teaching on date for baptism!! The next day, they all came to church with us! The lesson we had was so powerful... I was in tears, my companion and the parents. I invited them to be baptized and they all said yes!! We just need to encourage the parents to get married hahaha.

That is is all for this week!! Love you all!!
