Semana 38: I love my mom

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL THE AMAZING MOMS OUT THERE!! Y'all are the best, especially my mom. She has put up with 19 years of my caziness and she's only managed to inherit a few gray hairs! I am so grateful for her undying love and patience for me as I continue to make dumb mistakes. You are the best mom, I don't know what I would do without you. I'm glad that we can mutually annoy each other and laugh it off in the end. You are my bestest friend! Thanks for giving me life❤❤ I love you!

Now onto the rest of the week... nothing happened besides drama, drama, and more drama

The maps here are not defined very well so we often run into problems with missionaries fighting over baptisms and investigators. Well it's actually just one missionary that likes to fight with every surrounding area about baptisms. Yes, it's frustrating and yes this week we got thrown into the middle of it and I did not enjoy it at all.

Got caught lackin'

We went to church last Sunday and this random dude in sweatpants and flip flops showed up. After services, I went up and started chatting with him. He was a really cool guy and had been investigating the church for a while and wanted the missionaries to teach him. We've met with him 3 times this week and he wants to be baptized but the only thing holding him back is his smoking addiction of 50 years. If any of you have any advice on how to help a brutha with a smoking addiction hmu!

My comp and I have been teaching this lady who is missing a leg. The missionaries have been teaching her for 8 years and she keeps refusing to be baptized but insists on learning more. On top of all that, the JW's and just about any missionaries from other religions have passed by her house to convert her and she will not budge. However, we had an awesome discussion with her and she is actually coming around! She told us that she will "think about a baptismal date she wants to prepare herself for". Doesn't sound like much but it was a miracle for my companion and I!

Semana One: Welcome Everybody! (August 26, 2020)

Hola amigos y familia!!! WOW!!  This week has been so incredible and incredibly long haha! But I have loved every second of it. Last Wednesday I started the at home MTC experience and I mean it when I say it, it has completely changed my life. It's so crazy how in such a short amount of time my attitude towards EVERYTHING has changed tremendously. Not gonna lie, I was a little bitter and upset about doing the at home MTC initially, but it is seriously so much fun!  My district is so money and we have the best teachers! Hermana Mejia and Hermano Gallegos. My district is straight "GOAT"ed and I love every single one of them! We have learned so much together as a district and our español is definitely improving. After just one week at the MTC I've been able to say my prayers in Spanish, bear my testimony, and memorize some scriptures! I guess you can say it's coming along well! Semana 81: Make Love, Not War

The title comes from a Mexican missionary shouting, "Make Love!! Not War!!" in a district council. Just about all of our district speaks English so when he made that error, we all dropped to the floor laughing. I guess that's one way to solve the crisis happening in Ukraine right now.  Hermana Sedgwick I went on exchanges with the stud Elder Robertson!! He was the Canadian missionary in my MTC district and one of our best zone leaders. It was so fun! Familia Mota We were at our recent converts house. He was feeling pretty sick so we walked him over to his bed. We were talking to his daughters and his wife when all of a sudden we heard this loud bang on the floor. We looked over and it was our convert that had fallen off the bed. He had a seizure which caused him to fall off the bed and smacked his face so hard on the cement floor that he was unconscious. Semana 18: ITS CHRISTMAS TIME BABYYYYY

Hellooooo everybody! I hope y'all are staying safe out there and partying hard. Christmas season is the BEST out here on the mish because so many more hearts are open and receptive to the message of the restored gospel. We have seen so many miracles here in Norwich and in the Syracuse Mission. Boy this week was a longgggg one and a great one. I am so beyond blessed to be here during these exciting times!  Before the Nor'easter And After.....this AZ boy is like, whoa!!! So it turns out one of our friends, Barbara, lives outside of our area. We had to refer her off which was such a sad day because she was so sweet and loving. We gave her a call and broke the sad news to her and she was very understanding. But before we hung up, she started serenading us to some Christian hymn and it was really sweet.
