Semana 15: Thanksgiving holla!!!

Image
HELLOOOO everybody!! I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving! There is so much to be grateful for, especially during this time of year. This week has been filled with finding, teaching and baptizing per usual with a few extra laughs and funny stories. I really enjoy being out here and my testimony and love for God grows every single day.  Grub I finished the Book of Mormon again this week and oh my goodness I learned so much. It took me slightly over a month to finish and this time reading was definitely the most meaningful. I never realized how much I zoned out reading the Book of Mormon back at home it felt like it was my first time reading it hahah! I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and I invite all of you to read it! Thanksgiving was a great day for multiple reasons... first off we got to grub out on some bomb food courtesy of our beloved branch council! They let us keep the change so I guess you can say we are prettyyyy rich! We did a pie bake over zoom with

Hello my amazing friends and family! Nothing too crazy went on this week... I am just happy to be here :) Driving holla Our friend, Bobbie, has been struggling with priesthood authority and baptism these past few lessons but we know that once she gets over this little bump in the road she will be golden! She is so elect and has family who are members and she actually keeps commitments which is so great. She is very intelligent and comprehensive to the things we teach her. We are so grateful for her and her willingness to listen to our message because our teaching pool is getting smaller by the minute ahah! I don't  know if other missionaries have the same problem but it is really hard to get people to keep commitments over the phone especially when we don't know who they are on a personal level. That is why I am so stoked to go to Mexico hopefully soon because I need more person to person interaction hahah! Our friend Percy is a meme and a half he is a total goofball and can ba

Semana 13: Message of the Century!!

Hello my favorite people! I want to start off by saying that we have the AMAZING opportunity to listen to our prophet speak to the entire world! He is sharing a message of hope and healing because the world really needs it during these trying times. It is this Friday, November 20th, 2020 from 11-11:15 am MST. Spread the word to all of your non-member and member friends! This is going to be such a great missionary opportunity. What a miracle it is to be able to hear from our prophet outside of general conference! Love you! Carb day, yum This week has been phenomenal!! So many gosh dang miracles holla! We found FOUR new friends and they are all so elect! We are planning on putting three of them on date this next week and I am so so excited! We are starting to see some crazy changes here in Norwich. The first person we contacted was a woman named Bobbie and we found her through a phonebook. She told us that she had attended our church before like 30 years ago for a good 8 months or so. Th

Semana 12: Party on Wayne

HELLO MY FAVORITE PEOPLE!! I love you all so much and miss each one of you! How are you all doing?? This week has been INCREDIBLE, so many spiritual experiences. This week has been filled with so many emotions it's so great I am maturing and learning so much! God is so good and I have never been so happy in my life, like honestly. It is so amazing being a first hand witness of how the Spirit testifies to the people here in New York, I have seen so many hearts changed and touched this week, including mine. My spiritual strength is growing exponentially and my view on the world is changing. The worth of souls is in fact great in the sight of God and that Christlike love is something everyone should aspire to have. See the good in people. Never assume the worst. Everyone comes from different beginnings. This was a very hard lesson I had to learn these past few weeks but I am so grateful with the change I have seen in myself.  As for this week, it was again FILLED with finding on the p

Hey y'all! How is everyone doing? This week has been awesome and pretty much the same as every week before. A lot of teaching and a lot more finding. I am starting to get the hang of everything and I can confidently say that I am able to teach a pretty good lesson on every doctrinal point in Preach My Gospel. We taught a few new people this week and it was great. We had transfers this last Wednesday and my comps and I are staying in the same place since it just opened up last transfer. Being inside all day is kinda rough but I'm starting to like it better now that it is getting cold outside. We had our first snowfall on Friday but it wasn't cold enough for it to stick. We had a pretty awesome holiday this past week! Nope, not Halloween... daylight savings! We got an extra hour of sleep and that is prized in the eyes of a missionary!  It's Rainy here There is this one 19 year old boy in our branch, his name is Xhavier and his family immigrated here from the Philippines.
