Semana 5: Last week in the CCM

Que en el mundo?!? Where has the time gone?? This email will be the last email I write in the at home MTC and that is absolutely crazy! I got my flight plans and I leave this Monday, September 28th at 6:00am!! I am so beyond stoked to get out there and serve my fellow brothers and sisters. This week has been the same as all the others filled with TRC's, fake investigator lessons, and a ton of espanol.

went through the temple on Saturday! I was so blessed to have some of my favorite people (family, leaders and friends) come join me in this huge milestone in my life! The garments are comfy to say the least, I had to retire all of my short shorts, sad to see them go. But I am so beyond grateful to have a temple so close by and the opportunity we have to go there to come closer to God. It is truly a blessing we often take for granted.

I had an interview with my mission president over zoom today! His name is President Vest and he's honestly so cool. Apparently he was a competitive swimmer in high school and swam the same events I did. I am grateful to have a mission president who hates the 200 freestyle just as much as I do. Truly a blessing in disguise haha!!

I wanted to share a quick scripture in Ether 12 verse 4 and it reads, "Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men , which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God".
This scripture is pretty well known but it is extremely powerful. Having hope in Christ is a good thing, but we need to have faith in him to truly anchor our souls and to be immovable. Being followers of Christ, we DO hope for a better world and we DO want everyone to feel the pure joy we feel when we are true disciples of Jesus Christ. This is why I am so excited to go out and serve and teach people about having faith in Jesus Christ. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to go out and glorify God for everything he has given me. There is so much to learn, the temple really showed me that. I am so grateful for this gospel and I can't wait to go out and serve the people of New York!

I'm not sure how many of you still read the emails but if you do, I would love to hear from you before I head out and have even less time on my hands! Love you all!

My favorite girl got me this awesome sweatshirt for New York!  She is the bestest!

Celebrated Cosmo's 4th birthday this week.  I'm sure going to miss this sketchy puppy.
