Helloooooooo everybody!!!!! How was everyone's week?? I hope it was absolutely phenomenal!! Thank you so much for all of the amazing birthday wishes y'all made me feel so special :) This week was incredible and I'm sure you all know why haha! CHRISTMAS BABAY! Ah this is seriously the best time of the year and I am blessed everyday to be out here serving the Lord. Christmas hits very different on the mission and it really opened my eyes to how important it was to have a Savior born to this earth to "save us from ourselves". "Dont embarrass the church" -Elder Wilson For Christmas we had a crazy amount of finding. 4 hours to be exact! We called one of our old friends, Jeremy, just to check in and see how he was doing because we assumed he'd be lonely for the holidays. He answered and seems to be doing pretty well so that's great. He told us that he went to his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriends house for Christmas dinner(?).... yeah you heard that

Hellooooo everybody! I hope y'all are staying safe out there and partying hard. Christmas season is the BEST out here on the mish because so many more hearts are open and receptive to the message of the restored gospel. We have seen so many miracles here in Norwich and in the Syracuse Mission. Boy this week was a longgggg one and a great one. I am so beyond blessed to be here during these exciting times!  Before the Nor'easter And After.....this AZ boy is like, whoa!!! So it turns out one of our friends, Barbara, lives outside of our area. We had to refer her off which was such a sad day because she was so sweet and loving. We gave her a call and broke the sad news to her and she was very understanding. But before we hung up, she started serenading us to some Christian hymn and it was really sweet. A little off tune, but hey I don't blame her because I can't carry a tune myself. We had to mute the phone for some of it because we were laughing so hard that this 80 year o

It is so beautiful here Branch Council feat. President Jones (branch president), Brother Edwards (second counselor in the branch presidency), Sister Larchar, Sister Raphael (RS president): President Jones: "Who has a spiritual thought about ministering they'd like to share? Bro Edwards: "I did something that I've never done before that I wasn't supposed to do..." Everyone: *look of confusion* Sis Larchar: "What was it?" Bro Edwards: "McDonald's brought the McRibs back... and I had to get one. BUT I paid for the people behind me so I guess that passes off as ministering" President Jones: "So, you not only broke the Sabbath Day for yourself... but also the people behind you as well? Brother Edwards: "Well they were planning on breaking it anyways" Sis Larchar: "How did McDonalds get brought up with ministering??" Sis Raphael: "The parable of the french fry" Everyone: *more confusion* President Jones:

Semana 16: Tis the Season

The annoying part about only being allowed to make calls is that you have no idea who is on the other end of the line. We have discovered that half of our teaching pool is absolutely crazy. We gave one of our friends, Francisco, a call a few days ago and it was probably the most awkward phone call I have yet experienced. He seemed pretty irritated that we called right before dinner.  We asked him what he's been up to recently and he said "just looking for females yanno". We had a nice conversation with him and then he very frantically asked, "Did you know that Jesus Christ died?!?!?!" I guess it's not common knowledge amongst Catholics that Jesus Christ died. We started teaching him the Doctrine of Christ and he hit us with the "I think I am Jesus Christ through God". Elder Wilson replied with " Well... we know that Jesus Christ was born 2020 years ago in Bethlehem... so yeah".  There was an awkward pause for like 15 seconds. The man was
